Have you ever wondered what it feels like to breath underwater? If you want to try diving , but you're not prepared enough to take the leap to a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you. Although it is not a certification course , it is a quick and easy introduction to what it is to explore the underwater world.

The activity consists of a practice session in the beach, in which you will see basic concepts and do exercises to practice underwater such as:

- Review the diving equipment you will use to dive and how easy it is to move underwater with your equipment.
- Find out what it feels like to breathe underwater.
- Learn key skills that you will use in each dive.
- Have fun swimming and exploring.

After the class, you will perform a dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters in one of the most famous reefs of Mahahual, where you can test your new acquired skills and enjoy this paradisiac place.

The next day with the first light of dawn, the almost secret “Laguna del Ocho”, very close from the village of Chacchoben, starts waking up.

Waiting patiently in our kayaks, we can observe the wildest nature: trails on the water formed by huge crocodiles that leave their hiding places in the shore to go into the lagoon, while in the trees a symphony of tropical birds singing live up the games of the spider monkeys, jumping from branch to branch.

In the summer season we disembark in Lagarto Island where we track the huge crocodile nests which eggs will hatch in September. After more than two hours exploring the lagoon, we end the adventure with a good breakfast.
