The boat Juan Escutia C-56 is located within the limits of the marine park at a distance of 2 kilometer/1.5 miles from the coast and departure is from the port of Puerto Morelos with a boat ride of 15-25 min.
This 200-foot-long gunboat has 3 decks to explore: cabins, engine room and ammunition room. It is common to see on the upper deck Eagle Rays, Groupers, Snappers and several tropical fish. In the bottom you can find another specie of Ray.
The depth for the gunboat C-56 Juan Escutia dive is 27 meters/90 feet and it's ideal for shipwreck lovers. This boat is full of life , since a large part of it has been covered by reef over time and you will be able to explore it from the inside.
This deep dive is perfect for observing marine life and diving inside the largest sunken ship in the Caribbean or continuing your advanced certification.
