Description
This cenote owes its name due to the Zapote trees that grow in its surroundings and is known among divers as ''Hell Bells''.
The cenote is an almost perfect circle, covered by a layer of lilies on its walls. In this deep dive, the descent is very exciting as it becomes narrow at 65 feet, then opens to reveal some of the most unusual bell-shaped formations, which are repeated throughout the cavern in a spectacular way and the size is amazing, something unique.
The haloclines that are about 98 feet deep are very tempting for divers.
Here you can make two dives in the same place, making a surface interval of 1 hour, since it is a very remote place and there are no cenotes nearby for a second dive.
Zapote deserves its fame.
